KKR has agreed to repurchase a 20% stake in GenesisCare for A$400 million, with an option to invest an additional A$250 million, after initially acquiring a majority stake in the cardiac and cancer treatment operator in 2012 and partially selling it to a consortium in 2016.

KKR has reportedly agreed to pay A$400 million (about $283 million) for a 20% stake in GenesisCare, with the option of investing an additional A$250 million in the operator of cardiac and cancer treatment centers. KKR previously acquired a majority stake in the business for some A$600 million in 2012, then sold at least part of it to a consortium backed by China Resources Group and Macquarie Capital in 2016.
